As part of an effort to be a responsible and sustainable business, the owners and employees of CORE Communications/Cascade Printing are involved in a comprehensive recycling program. Every effort is being made to separate materials that would otherwise become waste and to depose of them in the appropriate containers or locations.
We are conscious of the benefits of recycling including: Conserving resources for our children, saving energy, preventing pollutants, supplying raw materials to industry, creating jobs, stimulating the development of greener technologies and reducing the need for new landfills.Other steps CORE Communications has taken to become a sustainable business:
A member of FSC - the Forest Stewardship Council, FSC Certified
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international network to promote responsible management of the world?s forests. Its product label allows consumers worldwide to recognize products that support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.

Member of Oregon Natural Step
The Oregon Natural Step Network was formed to support Oregon business, governmental, and educational organizations interested in using The Natural Step framework for sustainability. The Network is a membership organization open to interested organizations and individuals.
CORE is supporting clean energy as a visionary-level Blue Sky partner
By buying 80% of our power (equal to approximately 142 blocks) of Blue Sky each month, Core is offsetting over 14 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each month, which has the environmental benefit of not driving a car 30,424 miles or planting 2790 trees.
Upgraded Facilities
Lighting systems have been upgraded to energy efficient, electronic ballast, full spectrum fluorescent lights. Installed motion sensors in bathrooms.
