At CORE Communications, we have made a commitment to tread lightly on the earth we all share. In our efforts to be a successful and responsible business, we recognize the importance of being a good steward to the environment.
Memberships

We are an Oregon Natural Step Network member and we're implementing their principles for sustainable business. These principles offer the following framework, or conditions, for a sustainable society, requiring that we do not systematically increase:

- concentrations of substances extracted from the earth's crust;
- concentrations of toxic substances produced by society;
- degradation by physical means in that society;
- and, that human needs are met worldwide.

We began implementation of Natural Step principles with the following changes to in our business. First, company-wide, we have a formalized, full-scale recycling and composting process. We upgraded our facility, installing new energy efficient lighting, hot water, air conditioning and air circulating systems. Taking it one step further, we exceed Renewable Northwest Project's Northwest Clean Energy Challenge for purchasing green power—in other words, clean electricity. Electricity produced from renewable resources such as wind, offsets the amount carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere and therefore reducing our corporate impact on global warming.
It is through these continuing efforts that we hope and strive to make a difference.
